This varies based on your specific insurance plan. Currently, our groups are private pay at a very discounted rate.
For diseases so rooted in shame, regulated groups — ones that are mediated by registered dietitian nutritionists using evidence-based information — can provide many benefits, including:
Additional support
Education
Awareness of the underlying problem outside of your 1:1 sessions with your dietitian.
Reducing the stigma and isolation of dealing with an eating disorder.
Reducing post-meal distress.
Connecting with others with a shared experience.
For parents and caregivers — getting support from others to help improve their relationship with their child, spouse, friend.
Learning skills and how they worked for people in the real world outside of therapy.
Meeting people who are further along the road of recovery — seeing it’s possible.
Getting meaningful support from a safe, compassionate community can be key in ongoing and continued recovery.
The cost of support groups varies based on the programs we are offering. We believe everyone has the right to affordable, evidence-based nutrition therapy and continued support for recovery.
Our dietitian-led online support groups cost between $35-$60/group, based on the offering. We always offer payment plans as we value accessibility of care.
